Single Touch Payroll – Are you ready for 1 July reporting to the ATO?

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) will require mandatory real time reporting of payroll information through your payroll solution at the time you pay your employees using the Single Touch Payroll system.

What to do if you will not be ready

Employers have until 31 May 2018 to apply for a deferral if they will not be Single Touch Payroll compliant by 1 July 2018.

Employers can apply for a deferral using the online Single Touch Payroll deferral request which includes instructions on how to lodge the form.

You or your registered agent can submit the form using the Business Portal, Tax Agent Portal or BAS Agent Portal.
