This short course will provide participants with the skills necessary to confidently and competently appear in the Fair Work Australia (FWA) Tribunal on non-complex matters.  

Course Content

In addition to the points below, participants will also attend the Tribunal for an address from a Commissioner on the Tribunal’s expectations of people who appear in the Tribunal and particularly people who are not professional advocates.

  • Tribunal procedures
  • Etiquette in the Tribunal
  • Submissions or evidence
  • Scope of jurisdiction

 At the end of the training course, participants will be able to:

  • Confidently make an appearance in the Tribunal
  • Operate within the Tribunal's processes
  • Understand how to present information
  • Be aware of the jurisdiction for different matters
