The Queensland Ambulance has recently migrated it’s recruitment of Student Paramedics and Emergency Medical Dispatchers from a continuous basis to a recruitment campaign basis.As a result of this migration, the current continuous basis will be ending December 2010.

If an applicant has applied with the QAS after 9 August 2010 and does not have an applicant ID number you are ineligble to sit the assessment. 

 The QAS has confirmed that they will refund the assessment costs only to Student Paramedics who have successfully passed the assessment but wish to withdraw from the program.

• If you have successfully completed the assessment and require a copy of your receipt or feedback regarding your assessment please contact the Livingstones Hotline on 07 3367 0619. 

• Alternatively, If you wish to cancel your assessment prior to sitting it, please contact the Livingstones Hotline on 07 3367 0619. (Please note that if you cancel the session within 5 working days of the session date you will be charged a 30% cancellation fee).

How to Register for Assessments with Livingstones 

You are required to register and pay in advance for your Assessments.

The costs are: Characteristics Assessment (referred to as Psychometric Assessment by QAS) is $140.00 inclusive of GST

Aptitude Assessment is $145.00 inclusive of GST Total Cost for sitting both assessments (Aptitude and Characteristics) is $245.00 inclusive of GST.  

To date Student Paramedics are the only position that are required to undertake an Aptitude Assessment in addition to the Characteristics Assessment and must sit for both assessments on the same day.
