Psychometric testing - an effective guide for the future...

Tailored tests for individual employee development

Our psychometric assessments may also be used as a guide for the development of individual staff members.

Based on the results of psychometric testing, training or coaching may be tailored to suit individual needs.

Livingstones Australia offers the following assessment instruments that assist organisations to provide individual employee development:

  • 16PF
  • Genos Emotional Intelligence
  • Team Management Profile
  • QO2
  • MLQ
  • Benchmark
  • Vocational Interests
  • Apollo
  • Livingstones Australia 360 feedback questionnaire

To implement psychometric testing in your organisation, a Livingstones’ consultant meets with you to determine the appropriate testing battery.

The manner in which feedback is required is also discussed.  That is: to achieve best effect from the testing, it may be most appropriate to discuss  outcomes one-on-one, as part of a group workshop or during coaching sessions.

Accelerated Learning for Teams

At Livingstones we adopt highly facilitative, interactive, accelerated learning approaches to teamwork which incorporates the principles of Adult Learning.

All our team development projects are individually designed to meet the requirements of your organisation - its culture, values and needs of the group.

Following is a snap-shot of our areas of focus:

  • Developing an understanding of individuals' roles within a team.
  • Learning more about one another within the team.
  • Understanding group dynamics and team development stages.
  • Reviewing the history of the team.
  • Understanding how the team "fits" with the broader organisation.
  • Creating a future vision for the team.
  • Assessment of the current team culture - its strengths and weaknesses.
  • Setting team goals, assessing performance, developing problem solving and decision making processes.
  • Developing conflict management strategies.

When required, we utilise a number of assessment tools to enrich team members' understanding and assist in identifying developmental plans. To do this we may use instruments including:

Testing for Best

The use of psychometric assessment in vocational guidance provides useful insight into an individual employee's work interests, competencies and work environments that would provide the best “fit” while also identifying areas for development.

Abstract Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Numerical Reasoning tests are recommended for gaining insight into each individual’s general intelligence, general abilities and aptitude for learning.

The 16PF Personality Profile is strongly recommended in the context of vocational assessment to identify key personality factors that are likely to impact on how well an individual would “fit” with a specific job, organisation and discipline.  Personality preferences provide good insight into aspects such as leadership potential, people skills as well as preferred methods for approaching their work and problems.

Livingstones Australia utilises the Vocational Interests Australia instrument, which is based on a world-renowned theory of occupational interests for career guidance.  This instrument provides insight into and individual's preferences for working environments and types of work.
