Eve Harward

Senior Consultant

Eve’s background in industrial relations and human resources, her experience across diverse work settings and psychology qualifications combine to provide her clients with practical responses to a wide range of workplace challenges.

Eve is deeply committed to her clients and derives great personal satisfaction from helping them navigate legislative and cultural risks and opportunities to achieve their organisational objectives. She understands that harmonious workplaces are always the most productive and successful so everything she does is in support of her clients achieving those outcomes.

Eve has experience working with a wide variety of organisations, from small businesses through to large national enterprises and across the not-for-profit, public and private sectors. Eve particularly enjoys helping clients with their employment challenges and takes great pride in developing and fine tuning solutions so they align with each client’s particular objectives, while paying close attention to specific cultural considerations as well as broader industry settings.

Eve’s attention to detail and industrial relations experience means that she is particularly proficient at all aspects of workplace advices, including workplace behaviour issues and interpretation of awards and statute. Eve’s logical and pragmatic approach is invaluable when it comes to drafting employment contracts and agreements, workplace policies and providing advice regarding terminations and redundancies.

Eve has valuable experience in workers’ compensation issues that often involve consideration of various legislative frameworks as well as an appreciation of the practicalities of these issues and their impact on the workplace.

Strong analytical skills and an inquisitive mind mean that Eve is a particularly skilled investigator and has experience in this area across a wide range of issues including workplace harassment, discrimination, inappropriate workplace behaviour and safety breaches.

Eve’s experience working in line human resources roles drives her desire to assist organisations in designing and implementing human resource systems that proactively manage the employment relationship. Often this involves ensuring that expectations are made clear through position descriptions, workplace policies and the performance management system. Should an issue arise with an employee’s performance or conduct, Eve’s strong industrial relations background means that she is able to guide organisations through the appropriate counselling and discipline process.

Health issues are particularly challenging given that by their very nature they usually need to be managed on an individual basis, however Eve is able to apply her extensive experience and rehabilitation and return to work knowledge to support organisations to manage such issues in a sensitive and effective manner.
