Sponsorships and Donations

At Livingstones Australia we are mindful of our obligations as a good corporate citizen. As such we consider and participate in numerous community-based activities such as:

  • Making donations to worthy causes;
  • Providing sponsorship to fundraising activities by organisations that deliver valuable services to the community;
  • Providing work experience opportunities; and
  • Providing assistance to Not for Profit organisations.

Donations and Events

  • October 26th is Pink Ribbon Day and this year Livingstones showed their support by having a ‘pink themed’ morning tea. Staff donated their time and ingredients to make an assortment of tantalising treats. We are delighted that the $119 raised will be dedicated towards the Cancer Council Queensland’s programs of research, prevention and early detection, and support for those women affected by breast cancer.

 

  • In August 2008 and again in 2009 LIvingstones supported the RSPCA Cup Cake Day . Livingstones supplied the ingredients and staff donated their time to bake and decorate the cup cakes and pup cakes in the days leading up to the event. On the day, Livingstones held a morning tea where purchased cup cakes were consumed (and many more were taken home for family and friends). We also ran a team decorating competition. Everyone had lots of fun and best of all we were able to raise $430 for the RSPCA.

 

  • In 2008, Livingstones Australia and our employees also made a contribution to DebRA Australia which supports families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa.

 

  • Livingstones Australia has provided financial support to Awaken Mozambique. It is a project which provides micro-finance, business training, and international collaboration for small businessess in Beira, Mozambique. 

 

  • The staff of Livingstones Australia supported the national Jeans for Genes day 2008.

 

  •  Livingstones Australia also participated in the 2008 Global Corporate Challenge
